Siddharth Gupta of Barnet India has been appointed to the Board of ITTA.
We are pleased to announce that Siddharth Gupta of Barnet India has been appointed to the Board of ITTA (Indian Technical Textile Association) this year. ITTA is a non-profit organization for the promotion of technical textiles. Once nominations are received, they are forwarded to the industry for feedback on the individual, after which one person is shortlisted for a position on the board.Siddharth Gupta is responsible for technical fibers and nega-stat® at Barnet India. He holds a B.Tech degree with MBA and has an overall experience of 25 years.Sidd, as he is fondly called, has a compelling nature and a tireless fighting spirit. This has helped him crack many new deals for Barnet. He has made Barnet India known as a solution provider for specialty fibers in the Indian market. It is due to his initiatives that Barnet is now considered as a first-choice partner by leading companies in the technical textiles sector. Siddharth was instrumental in establishing the nega-stat®-based value chain for Barnet India. Today S.L.Banthia, a well-known weaving company in Surat offers various types of filament fabrics with nega-stat® to different end-users in the Indian market.Siddharth has made great efforts to create awareness about nega-stat® in the Indian market. He enjoys good customer relations and is well regarded within the industry. Sid enjoys keeping himself fit while he is also involved in social work and teaches math and science to underprivileged children at the local children’s home. In keeping with his dream, he would like to one day climb the base camp of Mount Everest. He lives in Mumbai with his wife and daughter. His wife is a lecturer at a local technical college. His daughter is currently taking her senior high school exams and preparing for college admission.
