nikolaj iljuscenkov – man of steel

Nikolaj started with us as a production worker in 1997, but it quickly became clear that as a skilled lathe operator he had much more to offer than just wrapping the bales at the baler.

So after a few months he moved to the workshop and successfully took on all the associated tasks. His vast experience enabled us not only to maintain our own machines, but also to build our own jigs, not only for the production facilities in Europe, but also for the plants in the USA and China. With the help of his son, who also found his way to us shortly after, we enjoy the safety and reliability of our technical equipment. His creativity and ideas enable us to develop and implement new processes.

Although Nikolaj has been enjoying his well-deserved retirement for 8 years, he is still fully available to us three days a week. Perhaps the twenty cigarettes and five cups of coffee he consumes daily help him, but in the last 25 years that he has worked for Barnet, Nikolaj has only been sick six days, five of them because of Corona, which he put away without symptoms anyway. He is just a tough one.
