Meta-Aramide haben eine ausgezeichnete Beständigkeit gegen Temperatur, chemischen Abbau und Abrieb. Sie sind von Natur aus flammhemmend. Eine Meta-Aramidfaser wird normalerweise durch Spinnen in einer chemischen Lösung, dem Nassspinnverfahren, hergestellt. Dabei entsteht eine teilkristalline Faser mit einer Molekülkette, die teilweise entlang der Faserachse ausgerichtet ist. Geringe Steifigkeit und hohe Dehnung verleihen dem Material einen textilen Charakter, der besonders bei Schutzkleidung geschätzt wird.

Because of their exceptional heat and flame resistance Meta-Aramid staple fibers are mostly used for thermal protection or industrial filtration. In comparison to similar synthetic fibers Meta-Aramid due to their clear white color offers a lot of different applications. The staple fibers are suitable for all spinning or nonwoven processes.

Meta-Aramid shortcut fibers are mainly used to produce electrical insulation paper. They are produced in a classic wetlaid nonwoven process and are made for electronic applications such as transformes, generators or battery packs.

Recycled Meta-Aramid fibers are due to their excellent flame resistance and thermal insulating abilities mostly used for protective nonwovens. The fibers are mechanically recycled from post consumer and post industrial textile materials. The carefully recycled fiber can be used for spinning applications or as a blend item for textile nonwoven processes.
