Polyacrylate filament yarn is spun from liquid crystal polymers. The polymers are present in the melt in liquid-crystalline form and exhibit a certain degree of order. This gives the fiber extraordinary strength and a high modulus of elasticity combined with high elasticity. It is very cut-resistant, break-proof and vibration-damping. Furthermore, it offers a low tendency to creep, very good chemical resistance and low moisture absorption. The combination of these properties is often used in medical equipment, military articles, ropes, cables, geotextiles, and sports articles.
Outstanding strength and high modulus – Excellent wet strength – Minimal water absorption – Dimensionally stable and minimal creep – Excellent vibration damping property – Electrical insulating property
