The sales and production of staple and shortcut fibers such as Polyester and Nylon has a long tradition at Barnet. Our fibers have been used in the paper and nonwovens industries for many years, and we provide a wide range of different materials according to customer needs. Our global network helps us get direct access to the required products and raw materials.
Barnet is one of the leading suppliers of specialized fibers for dry laid and wet laid non wovens world-wide. We provide a wide range of customized materials, across polyester, nylon, PAN, Bicomponent fibers, as well as high performance functional materials like Aramids and Oxidized PAN fibers. We work with our customers on product development and have the ability to make products with relatively small MOQs, for trials as per customer’s needs.
High-performance fibers
Barnet high-performance fibers are developed with unique properties to provide solutions that traditional textiles lack. They can be used in many fields from ground transportation to aerospace and from biotechnology to computer and communication applications. The key criteria of high-performance fibers are very high strength, exceptionally high-temperature resistance, and unique insulation characteristics. Our product portfolio contains recycled high-performance fibres that improve product properties and in addition provide an economical alternative to virgin fibres. Sustainability does not mean that one must choose between meeting a technological demand and realizing an economic efficiency. With our years of experience, we can make recycling processes controllable and offer continuously available products with clearly defined specifications. High performance textile materials having exceptional mechanical properties as well as fire‐resistant and chemical‐resistant properties are available in the form of fiber, film, membrane, and liquid and are frequently used in protective clothing. The high-performance fibers are made from a wide source including organic polymers and inorganic materials such as ceramic fibers, carbon fiber, and stainless steel and aluminum fibers. High performance polymeric fibers having exceptional mechanical properties, fire‐resistant properties, chemical‐resistant properties and frequently being used in protective clothing.
