Celebrating 50 Years – Thank You, Darlene Hemphill

This year, we proudly celebrate a truly remarkable milestone: our colleague Darlene Hemphill marks her 50th anniversary with the company.
Since 1975, Darlene has been part of our accounting team, contributing with excellence, dedication, and loyalty. Her commitment, creativity, and precision have played a vital role in the success of our company over the past five decades – and continue to do so today.
William “Bill” Barnet III captured it perfectly:
“She was 16 and a high school student. Joining her sister in the Tryon plant office. September 1975.
Darlene (then Ravan) proved her intellect, common sense and flexibility from that time and ever since. Loyal, creative, consistent, organized—skills that grew and persisted to this very day.
The Barnet story is built on a number of contributors and none any more deserving of special appreciation than Darlene.
She made each of us better and helped all of us succeed. We are truly grateful.”
On September 25, we had the honor of celebrating this milestone with a dinner in her honor – a special evening to show our gratitude and appreciation.
